ROBIN is a Berlin-based IoT Start-up focusing on rewarding people for recycling.
Robin is a system to give dumping a meaning, it’s about building trusted relationships between consumers and brands through better communication. The goal is to reinvent the idea of bin and trash. With the use of smart trash bins and sensors, Robin automatically records what you trash in your personal profile where recyclable materials will give you points which you can turn into discounts on products or invest them in green initiatives.
With the app, you can find out exactly what that product was made of and how the brand commits to sustainability. On the other hand, Robin will include a system of waste management that can be used in building such as a mall or an entire city.
