Skill Share: Reducing Plastic to Save the Ocean

This talk will explain the consequences of plastic pollution on our oceans, its effects on marine animals, ecosystems and human health. We will discuss what potential solutions exist to try to combat the crisis as well as techniques on how to communicate the issues we care about to those who don’t already share our values. We will use environmentalism as an example topic but these techniques can apply to anything from veganism to gender equality.

Stephen Lee is a PADI divemaster the head of conservation and education for OrcaNation, a scuba diving company that is committed to bringing marine conservation to the forefront of education in dive centers and classrooms around the world.
